Five year old Mike saw his dad’s car entering the driveway. It was so late but the lights were still on and he met him at the door. Dad was dragging himself across the door. He was so tired that he could hardly make it to the rocker. Finally he slumped and pulled his tie loose. Mike landed on his lap and said, “Hello Dad! Let’s play.” Dad was at a loss thinking what to do with his five year old darling. After a few minutes, Dad saw a newspaper on top of the table with a pretty good picture of the world right at the front of the page. He started to cut out the picture of the world into many pieces. “Here son,” as he mixed up the pieces. “When you get the world back together, come back and we’ll play some more.
Mike took off and returned after a few minutes. “I’m back Dad. Here’s the world.” “Mike how did you do that?” “Well, it was easy. You see on the other side was a picture of a man. When you put the man together, the whole world comes together.”
When you see the world coming apart, look at the man. Perhaps he is falling apart, show him the way. Give him some directions. Tell him the truth. Give him insight and understanding. Help him see and understand things clearly. Show him life. Give him purpose in life.
Jesus said “I am the way, the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father except through me.”
When you put the man together, the whole world comes together.
