Nietzsche left the Christian faith and became an atheist. The God is Dead concept was already around his world and he embraced it and made it popular. He strangely added that if this is true, the 20th century would be the bloodiest century known to man. Do you know how many wars were fought and how much blood was shed in the 20th century? It did become the bloodiest century the world had ever known.
He also added that from that bloody century we would enter into the most violent century ever known. Are you taking note of this 21st century and its growing violence?
The last 13 years of Nietzsche's life was spent in a state of insanity. His mother sat by his side as he would say nothing for days on end, and all of a sudden he would shout out, and usually it was a verse of scripture he had learned as a child in Sunday school. God is not dead, but as Nietzsche strangely said, if it is true that God is dead it is because we have killed Him. Again, I take this from a lecture by the well known apologist Ravi Zacharias.
