The Bible is not an ordinary book. It is not for those searching an earthly philosophy. It is not a textbook on psychology. It is’nt a novel and does not contain fictional concepts. It can be called a book of history as long as it is understood that it is pure in its facts and there are no errors in its contents.
The Apostle Peter tells us in 2 Peter 1:20-21: The writings of the Bible did not come from man’s own interpretation; the writings within it did not originate in the will of man; all scripture was given to men by the Holy Spirit; these men wrote as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
It is a book that contains power because of its truthfulness. For example faith, a must in the Christian faith, can be created by the hearing of the word. Romans 10:17, “Faith comes by hearing...” The word is powerful and the faith it can create can change a person’s life.
You would be blessed daily if you would commit yourself to read the word of God daily. It would provide strength for your daily struggles and problems.
God bless you as you read.
