In my early morning thoughts holding and reading the word of God I came across the concept of "blind faith."
Blind faith is when a person believes in a world view that has no supporting evidence. This kind of blind faith is what causes people to fly their planes into 100 story buildings and kill thousands as well as themselves. This kind of faith is seen almost daily in our world today: People who bomb themselves into their own death in order to kill as many other innocent people as they can.
My dear friend, Christianity is NOT a blind faith. This means that there is evidence of the existence of God, not merely written in His word which it is, but it is also seen and felt all around those who look for it and wish to see it. "Faith is the evidence of things not seen..." (Hebrews 11:1) This does not say there is no evidence but that there is evidence that we can't see with the natural eye, but can be perceived in ways that God has provided.
I don't have time in this short devotional to talk as I would like about the evidences of a great and kind Creator Who reveals Himself daily to those looking for it. Romans 1 is a good commentary on this. God does not call us to have blind faith in Him and His existence.
He reveals Himself daily within you and in His created works. (Psalm 19). "My eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord..." - the words of a song I love. Have a good day.
