I hope in asking this question that you do indeed read the Bible. It is extremely important in these last days of a confused world, that we make the Bible our guide for truth.

I am going to say something here that I hope doesn’t confuse us as Christians. I find that too many of us read the Bible merely searching for answers to their problems. Now, there is nothing wrong with that, but I would like to bring to our attention to the fact that there is a higher reason for reading the Bible than looking for solutions to our problems. I think there is a very high reason for reading, indeed a most high reason, and that is WE SHOULD READ THE BIBLE TO GET TO KNOW GOD AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF INTIMACY.

A personal knowledge of God will bring answers to our problems from the Bible but without a personal relationship with God, our answer may not be a solid answer. I would encourage you to read the Bible to get to know God personally. The Bible is the source of personal knowledge of God. Then the problems we face in our difficult world will have the assurance that the answers come from a personal God whom you know well.

Don’t fall into the religious discipline of reading the Bible as a daily ritual. Read it searching for God and enrich your personal relationship with Him and His book as your guide
