There certainly were more than just these two men who walked with God, but these two are especially named in the book of Genesis and the results of their walk are recorded.

Genesis 5:24 states, “Enoch walked with God, then he was no more, because God took him.” I can not imagine being able to walk daily in a relationship with God and subsequently simply walk right on into heaven. I can not conceive of walking in holiness so perfect that God would simply allow you to walk into His home. Wow!

Then in Genesis 6:9 it says, “Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God.” His walk enabled him to escape the destruction of the world by a flood. His walk saved him and his family.

Again, I can’t imagine walking in such a state of holiness that God will perform miracles such as He did for these two men. But I can tell you I would love to walk with God in holiness. I know my personal walk is far from Enoch and Noah, but I am going to keep on trying. I want to walk in fellowship with my God that enables me to talk with Him and receive special attention when I might need it.
